Παγκύπριο Πρωτάθλημα Κ.Ο.Μ. 2024

Ακόμα ένα Παγκύπριο Πρωτάθλημα όπου έλαβε μέρος η ομάδα μας το Σάββατο και Κυριακή 17 και 18 Φεβρουαρίου στη Λάρνακα. 5 αθλητές από την ομάδα μας αγωνίστηκαν στις κατηγορίες του Πρωταθλήματος κατακτώντας 4 Χρυσά μετάλλια. Σε αγώνες εμπειρίας έλαβαν μέρος ακόμα 2 αθλητές μας το Σάββατο όπου αντιμετώπισαν από 2 και 3 αντιπάλους αντίστοιχα με αποτέλεσμα η παρουσία τους να ξεπεράσει κάθε προσδοκία που αναμέναμε. Πολλά συγχαρητήρια σε όλη την ομάδα που μας έκανε περήφανους για άλλη μια φορά μετά το 7 στα 7 που πετύχαμε στο Παγκύπριο Πρωτάθλημα τον προηγούμενο μήνα. Ο επόμενος σταθμός μας είναι στην Αθήνα για το Πανελλήνιο Πρωτάθλημα στις 8 Μαρτίου όπου θα ταξιδέψουμε με 7 αθλητές της ομάδας μας.

ΠΑΓΚΥΠΡΙΟ ΠΡΩΤΑΘΛΗΜΑ 2024

Στις 28 Ιανουαρίου 2024 διεξάχθηκε στη Λεμεσό το Παγκύπριο Πρωτάθλημα όπου έλαβαν μέρος κάποιοι από τους Πρωταθλητές μας. Συγκεκριμένα η ομάδα μας έλαβε μέρος με 7 αθλητές, με αποτέλεσμα να στεφθούν Πρωταθλητές και οι 7. Για ακόμη μια φορά η ομάδα μας επιτυγχάνει το απόλυτο, κάτι το οποίο ήταν και η καλύτερη απάντηση σε όλους όσους αμφισβήτησαν τις ικανότητες μας. Πολλές φορές στο παρελθόν όπως και τώρα, οι πράξεις μας μίλησαν πιο δυνατά από τα λόγια! Μέσα από τα αποτελέσματα των αθλητών μας μπορεί εύκολα να διακρίνει κανείς και το επίπεδο προπόνησης των αθλητών του ALL POWERS.

Fighters of the year 2023

Limassol Municipality awarded the best teenagers Athletes of 2023 for the sport of Muay Thai, last Wednesday January 10/2024 at Patticheio Municipal Theatre. Best teen male athlete was Alexandros Kkosti from All Powers Gym Cyprus and Best teen female athlete was Chara Constantinou, also from All Powers Gym Cyprus. For another year All Powers shows the level of their work bringing in our Country medals from the highest level organisation of Muay Thai, International Federation Muay Thai Amateur (I.F.M.A.). All Powers Gym Cyprus since the first year opening in Limassol on 2016, won multiple gold medals for our Country with many different athletes and different ages at any federation they participated around the world (WMF, WMBF, EMC, IFMA). For real, to make it simple to understand what these guys doing, they have an incredible medals rate of 100% which is something remarkable. Whatever these guys doing behind those close doors is amazing and we hope they will continue to do it making our Nation feel proud year after year.

2 Athletes - 2 Gold Medals for All Powers

For once again All Powers Gym Cyprus proved the quality of their fighters. Two of the juniors Champions, Christos Koufalli and Stelios Stavrou participated in Mediterranean Cup in Athens, Greece representing All Powers Gym and our Country. Both boys returned home with the gold medal. That was a massive achievement for our Country and for their Gym as well. Well done Champions, you make us all very proud again.

KOK world series will take place in Cyprus!

On July 2nd in Nicosia Cyprus will be held the largest martial arts event. This event is a part of a world tour and delivers exciting and first-class, international fights in the field of Muay Thai and Kickboxing. If you are interested in martial arts, you can not miss this show and will keep this evening in special memory. The fight card promises high quality fights where our Cypriot fighters will face opponents from Italy, UK, Latvia and Greece. It is a unique opportunity to see an event of this magnitude in Cyprus.

The All Powers Gym Limassol fight team will attend with Delil Timur, Giannis Iordanous, Joey Karam and Constantinos Constantinides. Musa Ibn Ali will also present the All Powers Gym team UK.

Great performance of all our fighters last Sunday!

All our All Powers Gym Cyprus fighters, who attended the "VIKINGS - PREMIUM FIGHT SHOW" on Sunday, the 20th of March 2022 in Limassol, showed a great performance in Muay Thai.

Stelios Stavrou won his fight by stoppage (TKO) after the 1st round. Giannos Iwannou won his fight on points, after dominating all 3 rounds. Both fights were a strong and powerful. We are very proud of our young fighters!

Maria Papadouri, Christos Koufalis and Lewis Dempsey showed also master class performance. They controlled every round and didn’t give any chance to their opponents! These fights were non scoring Muay Thai fights, to gain experience. If these fights would have been scored, the All Powers Gym Cyprus fighters would have taken all wins.

It was a great Muay Thai day in Cyprus for our team!

Silver medal for Stephanos Sotiriou !

Stephanos Sotiriou won the silver medal in the IFMA European Muay Thai Championships 2022 in Turkey!

Hard training pays out. It was just his 12th fight and he already fights in this level. He won the first 2 fights this week and lost the final in a thrilling fight against Akram Hamidi. With coach Valentinos Neophytou on his side this week, Stephanos reached amazing results. Special thanks going also to Savvas Michael and Ajarn Wat for Stephanos' fight camp and preparation.

Interim results IFMA European Muay Thai Championships 2022

The IFMA European Muay Thai Championships 2022 in Turkey are almost over and we have the interim results:

Stephanos Sotiriou from the All Powers Gym Cyprus, showed a strong performance and won the quarterfinal against Belarus and will fight in the semifinals tomorrow on the 19th of February against Turkey. He is in top form and we are excited to see a power fight!

Alexandros Kkosti sadly lost the fight on points against the new IFMA European Champion from UK. With just 14 years Alexandros showed a good performance and learned from this fight. We are sure, we will see him coming back stronger in the future!

IFMA European Muay Thai Championships 2022

Stephanos Sotiriou (male elite -54kg) and Alexandros Kkosti (14-15 years male -42kg) from the All Powers Gym Cyprus are qualified for the IFMA European Muay Thai Championships 2022 in Istanbul. Both will participate in the Muay Thai Championships and right on their side you can find trainer Valentinos Neophytou.

Alex will fight today the 15th of February 2022 and Stephanos will fight on the 17th of February 2022. Both facing strong opponents, but our fighters are very good prepared and worked a lot on their skills. We promise strong and hard fights!

Fighter & coach as dream team

You are always just so strong, how you believe you are! And these two are freaking strong!
Have you ever met Savvas Michael and Ajarn? We are happy and proud, that these both staying for a while here in Cyprus, and they came all the way from Thailand (Petchyindee, Bangkok). Ajarn is a living legend, with incredible training skills, with an eye for details AND he also always makes fun to make you laugh (or that you should not make a wrong step, because you would be k.o.).
Savvas is a young, successful fighter, who knows what he wants, trains hard every single day and knew since he was a child, that he wants to be professional fighter.

A strong mind, a strong body and hard work is what they are standing for. Their technique is impressive and they work to improve it still day by day. Ajarn is teaching his fighter with all his experience and Savvas is putting all his effort in. Their success shows, that team work in this sport is very important and also that you can always reach, what you are dreaming about!

What did Muay Thai teach me?

A wonderful short story about Muay Thai!

When I started Muay Thai I had absolutely no clue what I had to expect. Without any knowledge I always thought it is violent, people punching and kicking each other and had no expectations about the training or where it would lead me. What I at least expected, that it would basically change my whole life.

I tried many different sports in my life; including volleyball, judo, aikido, dancing and others, but nothing could me really keep always happy and motivated. Muay Thai changed that. Since I started with zero expectations, I was open to try something new and the only thing I knew was, that I wanted to start, because my parents and everyone told me such a brutal martial arts is nothing for a girl like me.

But Muay Thai is so much more! From far you might think it is a sports you do alone, but the training proofed me wrong. I learned what trust and team work is, because if you let someone so close to you, you learn how to trust. You learn to trust others, but also you learn how to trust yourself. You build more self-confidence, you learn to listen to your body and you also get a higher mind.

For me it is like an "active meditation". You just can turn your thoughts off while training. You can forget everything around you and release all your power. Oh, and it works also the other way around: On a day you feel exhausted, the training gives you power and happiness!

All in all I can say it changed my life in a really positive way. So when are you going to start?
